- ppt.helper runs as a separate program and maintains the formatting of the source text;
- ppt.helper extracts the content of a MS PowerPoint presentation in a user-friendly environment for translation. At the translator’s option, the text can be automatically extracted from the slides, headers, notes, slide master, handout master, notes master, and title master;
- once the source text has been translated in the convenient environment, a target presentation is created where the original formatting is maintained;
- ppt.helper creates its own translation memory where the linguistic data is stored in the plain text format. You can define the fuzziness level for the translation or minimum match value;
- ppt.helper performs a concordance search in the translation memory and represents the results in a pop-up window;
- the translation memory generated by ppt.helper is stored in a *.tmx format - a standard XML format for the representation of translation memory data (compatible with SDL Trados, Wordfast etc.).
- the translated file does not require any clean up procedures. All you need is to make a brief review of the translated presentation or bilingual text;
- ppt.helper can handle any language supported by Microsoft Word including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Cyrillic, European etc.
- ppt.helper counts words and characters both with spaces and without spaces as well as the number of embedded objects in the translated file
